Frequently Asked Questions

Which plan do I need to use the app?
You need an active plan. If it is cancelled or becomes inactive, the app and its block are no longer available.
How do I change or cancel my plan?
In Getting Started, the Current plan section lets you open Shopify's plan selector to change plans or schedule cancellation at the end of the current billing period.
Where is the popup configured?
Everything is configured in the theme editor. Add the block, adjust its options, and save the theme to publish your changes.
What pages will it be available on?
The block must be rendered on the page. Add it to the Header or Footer to use it throughout the store, or to a template to limit it to pages that use that template.
Why isn't it opening from a URL or link?
Make sure the block exists on that page and the hash matches Popup-id. Use a unique ID for each popup; a duplicate ID opens the first matching popup.
Which automatic triggers can I configure?
You can trigger the popup when the page loads, after a delay, at a specified scroll percentage, after a number of clicks, or on exit intent.
How does exit intent work?
On desktop, it detects when the pointer leaves through the top of the page. On mobile and tablet, it waits for the visitor to return from the background and never intercepts navigation.
How can I limit the display frequency?
You can display it every time, once per browser, session, or eligible visit, repeat it after a set number of days, or disable automatic opening.
What does manual opening ignore?
Opening with #popup-id ignores the trigger, delay, display frequency, audience, cart, device, and schedule. It does not mark the popup as seen or disarm its automatic trigger.
Can I configure multiple popups?
Yes. Only one dialog is shown at a time. A blocked attempt is neither saved nor queued; the popup opens only if another valid trigger occurs.
What happens if saving preferences is not allowed?
The popup still works, but its display-frequency state is retained only while you remain on that page and may reset when you navigate or reload.
What targeting options are available?
You can segment by customer type, cart status and operating system: Windows, macOS, Android or iOS. Unrecognized systems are always allowed.
How does the countdown work?
The global countdown ends at the same date and time for everyone. The individual countdown starts when the popup opens and keeps its deadline for the browser session.
What happens when the countdown ends?
The popup stops opening automatically, its floating button is removed, and actions that are no longer valid are disabled.
What does the floating recovery button do?
It lets visitors reopen the most recent eligible popup they closed. To keep it available across pages, the block must be in a global section such as the Header or Footer.
Does the app create the discount in Shopify?
No. First create the discount code in Shopify and write that same code in the block. The popup only displays, copies or applies it.
How is the discount copied and used?
The entire code panel can be copied and provides accessible confirmation. The primary button can close the popup, copy the code, apply the discount, or open a link.
What happens in the theme editor?
The selected block stays open for preview. If you try to close it, it remains open until you deselect it. When deselected, its floating button appears if enabled. Only the latest selected popup can leave a floating button; if it is not enabled, none is shown. Manual opening ignores all automatic display conditions. Visitors can close it by clicking outside the dialog or using one of the visible actions. The close button can be hidden, but clicking outside the dialog is always enabled in the storefront.
How can the visitor close the popup?
Visitors can close it by clicking outside the dialog or using one of the visible actions. The close button can be hidden, but clicking outside the dialog is always enabled in the storefront.
How are images displayed?
The image can be displayed as an element or as a background. A side image enlarges the dialog on desktop and stacks with content on small screens.
Why doesn't it appear automatically?
Make sure the block is saved on that page, the popup is not disabled, and its display frequency, trigger, targeting, and schedule allow it to open. Another open dialog may also block the attempt.
Why isn't my manual link working?
Make sure the block is present on the page and the text after # matches Popup-id. Each popup on that page must use a unique ID.
